After two exciting and well played semifinals Friday it is now certain that the trophy will stay in Denmark or travel to England.

England booked their ticket to Saturdays final with a 5-2 win over The Netherlands in a match that were closer than the numbers indicate. The two teams were level after the morning foursomes but the English boys took three of the singles to advance to the gold medal-game.

The Danish home team took a 2-0 lead into the singles and even though the Italians fought hard, they never really came close to threaten the Danish 5-2 victory.

Everything points to a thrilling final and - hopefully - a lot of spectators to create a good and fair atmosphere for the boys.

In the battle for fifth place Norway will meet Scotland who defeated the Swedish world champions. Sweden now face France in a match for the 8th position.

A nice number of spectators turned up on the course Friday where they enjoyed some terrific golf along with the best weather of the tournament so far.

The last time a Danish boys team reached a European final was exactly 20 years ago when they took silver in France. At that time one Thomas Bjorn was a member of the Danish team.

The quality of golf shown in the last four days prove that some of these youngsters will some day follow in the footsteps of Thomas Bjorn and be true stars on the European Tour.
